Well, a few from today... It was just a lousy day with nonstop rain and dark clouds... No wonder I was the only spotter around, but when I want to go spotting I just go... LOL
The pictures are not that good of course but still maybe of interest:
BTW: Emirates is using B777-300's frequently on some of their flights to Dubai, and AirOne has been replacing their CRJ's with A320's for quite a while now. I also heard today from reliable sources that the tours for the World Economic Forum 2009 are already being planned, even though the observation deck will probably be closed then. Alternatives (for instance using the other observation deck on the midfield terminal) are being seeked. I hope I will see some of you on these tours. We always have so many english spotters on our tours, so friends from for instance Portugal and Ireland make a very welcome change...
Ok, a few pics... This helicopter was airlifting material around the terminals. It's seen here from level 8 on the parking garage 3. I hardly ever photograph helicopters but this "eye-level" shot was well worth it... BTW, the building in the back is the airport prison, if you ever get stuck in there hope for an airport view, there are more rooms facing in the opposite direction, away from the airport. there, you would just get the sound..
I switched over to the parking garage 6, level 9 again (well, it was dry there after all) and this Dubrovnik MD-83 was the first to get me out of my ca. I like the reflections here...
Star Alliance-liveries meet here as well... With LOT and SAS being caught here...
The main reason why I went was this... It was operating a Pegasus-flight and it was the first time I saw it in person...
Another Star Alliance-livery (and also a first for me) came with this Blue1-example..
And last but not least the Bulgarian Air Charter.. After this, it was time to go home and dry the wet socks...
Well, that was it for today.. If only the weather was better, but it's been dry here lately, and therefore some rain was really a very good thing.
